Chandani, the daughter of famous actor and singer late Freddie Silva, has expressed her displeasure with unauthorized singing of her father's songs in reality shows.
She says that she is happy to bring those works closer to the new generation, but the songs are the intellectual property of the original singers who sang them and today their children have the right to them. She mentions that some channels earn crores of rupees but they do not do justice to those artists and at least they do not pay anything to the original artists involved in the song.
This has been stated in a statement issued by her on social media. This problem has arisen several times before but still no solution has been found.
